A spring-loaded rod wedges inside the window frame. Measure the inside width, buy a rod whose range covers it, twist to extend, and seat it level. 5. Over-the-Frame Brackets
Steel brackets that hook over the top of your window trim and hold a standard rod — no screws, and the strongest no-drill option at 15–20 lbs. Your trim must protrude at least ~½ inch for the hook to grip. This is the only no-drill method we’d trust with a lined panel, though even here, true floor-length blackout pairs are pushing it.
